Friends of the St. Clair River is Michigan's Thumbcoast environmental non-profit showing 40 miles of love to the St. Clair River and its watersheds since 2007. They are committed to inspiring citizen action through stewardship, monitoring and education to restore, protect and enhance the St. Clair River and its watersheds.
The St. Clair County Parks and Recreation Commission dedicated to providing positive recreational opportunities for the citizens of St. Clair County and their guests. Our parks improve quality of life for people and support the conservation and stewardship of land, water and natural resources. We work with the Lake St. Clair CISMA to preserve and enhance wildlife habitat, control and mitigate the impacts of invasive species, protect water quality and native biodiversity, and educate our community on the importance of natural areas conservation.
Interested in becoming a partner of the LSC CISMA? Partnerships are open to local governmental units (townships, cities, villages, county, etc.), non-profit organizations, volunteers, and/ or universities. Benefits to partners of the LSC CISMA include:
Involvement in projects funded through local, state, and federal initiatives
Free outreach, trainings, workshops, and presentations customized for target audiences
Access to outreach materials (brochures, posters, etc.)
Cost share treatments for Macomb County road right-of-ways
Assistance in conducting monitoring, surveys, treatment, restoration, events, and education
