Join the Lake St. Clair CISMA and Friends of the St. Clair River for eco-stewardship activities in the rustic Columbus County Park as we manage invasive species and take in all that nature has to offer. Seed Cleaning Workshop

Tue., Feb. 1, 5:30-7pm, Thumb Coast Watershed Center

Dig into native plant seeds with the Lake St. Clair CISMA & Friends of the St. Clair River on Tuesday, February 1, 5:30 pm at Friends' new Thumb Coast Watershed Center! We'll teach you everything you need to know about cleaning and prepping native plant seeds for the growing season. Stay for some or all of this event, located at the former Eddy Elementary School, 301 North 9th Street, St. Clair MI 48079. Bring a mask and gardening gloves. We'll have extras available.

Invasive Species Awareness Day 2022

There are many animal and plant species in our Great Lakes and surrounding region that cause destruction and are harmful to our native ecosystems. The good news is you can do something about it! In recognition of National Invasive Species Awareness Week, the OAC and partner agencies, like your local CISMAs, who are battling these invasive species will share why these species are a problem and how you can help. You may even have an opportunity to meet some of these species up close! At 12:00pm OAC staff will host a special live encounter program featuring our own Sea Lamprey.
